Event Details

TechHubFriday on 25th March will be the latest in our new series TechHubFriday Forum. This one will be hosted by some very smart people from Google.

Do you have something that's challeging you at the moment? A problem that's really leaving you scratching your head? Perhaps you just really need to hear some feedback from others? Come along to TechHub, talk about what's on your mind and get some great ideas from great problem-solvers from Google and TechHub.

This month's theme is App Engine, Apps and Cloud. We've even got some special guests. Chris Thorpe from ArtFinder will talk about how they're using both App Engine and EC2. Michael Brunton-Spall from The Guardian will talk about how they're using Google App Engine in the Micro App architecture that powers many of the innovative new features on their site.

TechHubFriday is for technology entrepreneurs, runs from 6-8ish pm (so you can still go out afterwards, or on to the bar next door) and is free for TechHub Members and just a fiver (plus VAT - boo) for others. We keep this event to around 40 people to make sure it's a good size to get a good discussion going, so register quickly if you want to take part.

Those who want to raise something will have 3 minutes, with around 5 minutes for some rapid fire ideas and feedback fom Googlers and other entrepreneurs attending. Then it's just drinks and everyone chatting. If you'd like to seek some advice, enter some brief details in the registration form and we'll confirm with you if you have a slot, as they're limited due to time.

Bear in mind this is a tech entrepreneur audience, not so much a developer workshop so really technical stuff might be best to follow up on later during chat.

If you'd like to bring a friend, please ask them to register here too so we know how many people are coming.

Please note that we usually add people who come to our events to our email list to keep you updated on what's coming up @TechHub. Please let us know if you'd prefer not to be added.

To get to TechHub

  • Take Exit 5 from Old St tube station up to City Rd
  • It's about 20 seconds straight ahead on your right, at number 76-80

See you @TechHub!

About TechHub

TechHub is a new and exciting project creating a physical space in London for tech start-ups not just based nearby but entrepreneurs and others in the tech industry from across the UK, Europe, the US and beyond.

We've created a new community space reflecting the vibrancy and global outlook of the technology scene.

TechHub is affordable and accessible, with a great environment to bring together the right people in one place - the people who really do want to change the world through their businesses. We're right on 'Silicon Roundabout' in the Old Street area of London where there is an existing cluster of tech start-ups.
